Multitasking

Multitasking is the ability to do several tasks at the same time or switch between them very fast. We do this every day and it can involve simple things, like listening to music while walking, or harder tasks, like trying to complete multiple complex school assignments at once.

Multitasking helps us save time by finishing different things simultaneously, which is why it is so common among students. However the brain just switches focus back and forth and doesnt really process the information. When the attention of the brain switches too much, it becomes harder to focus deeply on a single task later on.

This habit can lead to it taking more effort to start a new task or remember what was just learned. While multitasking is useful for small chores, but switching all the time can lower the attention span. Learning to balance multitasking with single-tasking is important for better academic results and clearer thinking.
